Ben Lomond High School in Ogden, UT recently upgraded their athletic training room and sidelines with a 6' Athletic Edge SmartCart, 3-seat modular taping station, single cooler hydration cart, and Edge Sport treatment tables. Head athletic trainer, Jeff Speckman, LAT, ATC talks about his program's needs and challenges and discusses the products and features of what the Scots purchased from The Athletic Edge.

"At the beginning, I had one Rhino cart that was the very first model ever made," explained Speckman. "I was looking to upgrade to a different style and The Athletic Edge had a sideline cart that matched what I was looking for; especially the locking doors. We built a new athletic facility, and our administration wanted everything to match."
Sideline Solutions
The Scots added a 6' SmartCart and a 4' single hydration cooler to meet their sideline rehabilitation and hydration needs. "The new carts provide ample storage for my supplies that I need for the sidelines, " added Speckman. "The full length, pass-through storage is ideal for crutches and other items that require a longer space." In addition to the increased storage capacity, the ability to lock up valuables proved to be of value for the Scots. "I really like being able to lock the doors to keep my supplies and special equipment safe when I am not using the cart." Speckman was pleased with the addition of the Single Cooler Hydration Cart as well stating, "The sideline water carts are great for getting the jugs out on the sidelines. The storage they provide is a bonus. Also, they look really classy on the sidelines and outside at games."
In addition to a professional look, the 6' SmartCart also fulfilled several needs for Ben Lomond student athletes, athletic training staff, and coaches. "The length of the cart, the lift back cushion, locking wheels, and the way the graphics turned out were exactly what we hoped they would be like," added Speckman.

Upgrades to the Athletic Training Room
In addition to adding portable sideline treatment and hydration solutions, the Scots also upgraded their athletic training room. According to Jeff Speckman, "Everything that we ordered from them has met all of my needs. The modular taping stations with the removable slip covers customized with our logo turned out awesome. The treatment tables that match everything makes our athletic training room look very professional, and I am excited to see people's expressions when they see them; especially when they knew what I had before," explained Speckman.

Ben Lomond High School and head athletic trainer Jeff Speckman partnered with Centennial Sales and The Athletic Edge to solve the challenges of portability, storage, cohesiveness of design, and workmanship. "We decided to work with The Athletic Edge because we liked what we saw in their product catalog to begin with. The mock up designs that they provided to us with the graphic we wanted really looked great."
